HD Products & info

As projectors have come down in price they've become increasingly popular in pubs and home theatre set-ups; they also benefit even more than TV sets from high definition content.  Smartmove will recommend the best audio and visual option, depending on budget and situation.

So what is the difference between a HDTV projector and a regular home theater projector? (the nerdy bits...)

A regular projector, because it magnifies a TV picture, also magnifies the defects and artefacts in that picture. An HDTV projector, however, magnifies the huge improvement in quality between regular TV and HDTV. Simply put, the benefits of HDTV are much more apparent when watching TV on a projector.

AN HDTV projector has a higher resolution, specifically, it will usually display vertically at 720p. That's 720 lines of vertical resolution progressive scan. It will also have the ability to connect to a HDTV tuner or HDTV DVD player using an HDMI (high Definition Multimedia Interface) connector.

Does HD Matter?

Yes, because the 1080p resolution is the first to deliver enough detail to your eyeball when you are seated at the proper distance from the screen.  See the table below for guidance or get in touch for us to work it out!
